Can I cancel my registration?

We understand your situation may change in the lead up to — or during! — your training. We have a few different options to help reorganize or cancel your registration when life gets in the way!

If you need to cancel your training registration, you can do so at any time. Depending on your specific registration details, we have a few pathways available:

  1. Cancel entirely and receive a refundSee refund policy below.

  2. Defer your training to a future delivery of the same course, just on a different date. 

  3. Convert your registration fee to NRTG credit for use towards a future course.

  4. In some cases, we are able to transfer the registration into a different name.

Please note, our team work hard to ensure all students are treated fairly, with kindness and empathy. We handle all cancellation requests in line with our Terms of Service

Refund Policy

You can request a refund by contacting us after your purchase. The refund you are eligible for depends on the date of your training:

  • Cancel 14+ days before the course starts, receive a 100% refund (including taxes)

  • Cancel 7–13 days before the course starts, receive a 50% refund (including 50% of taxes)

  • Cancel less than 7 days before the course starts, no refund will be given.

A processing fee of 3.5% may apply to all refunds.

If you need to cancel and are not eligible for a full refund, we encourage you to explore the Deferral and Credit options outlined below.

Defer Your Training

The most common reason students come to us requesting a cancellation is due to unexpected unavailability on their training date. Whether it's work or personal life that has thrown a spanner in the works, we are happy to help students reschedule their training for an alternative date. 

Our team are able to defer your training to a future date providing there is a future session scheduled. For our in-person courses, we will do our best to defer your booking to a new date in the same location — though this is not always possible. If there is not a future session scheduled on a day or location that suits you, we will explore the refund or credit options available to you.

Occasionally, there may be a price difference between your original registration and your new booking. In these cases, you will need to cover the price difference in order to confirm your new training date. This payment can be made via card, Interac E-transfer, or cheque.

Please note, our team are happy to help defer your training once only. If you request another change after that, you’ll need to pay again for the new course.

Course Credits

At NRTG, we are dedicated to ensuring all registered students receive the high-quality training they have paid for. To minimize the chances of wasted registration fees, we offer students the options to convert their registration fees to NRTG credit that can be applied to future training. 

Students typically utilize this option if they are cancelling at short notice and are no longer eligible for a full refund (see refund policy above), or if they want to defer their training but there are no suitable dates on the schedule. 

Your NRTG credit will be kept on file for future use. If there is a price difference between your credit amount and your chosen registration, one of two things will happen: 

  1. If the new registration is a higher price than the credit you have on file, you will need to pay the difference in order to confirm your registration.

  2. If the new registration is a lower price than the credit you have on file, we will deduct the registration fee from your credit and update the remaining credit on file for future use. No refunds will be given for unused NRTG credit.

Please note, students can only convert their registration fees to NRTG credit before their scheduled training is due to start. We cannot convert registration fees to NRTG credit retroactively, for example when a student did not attend their training without prior notification to our team.

Registration Transfers

In most cases, we are unable to transfer a registration from one student to another. We are only able to transfer a registration to a new name and email if the training was booked and paid for by a company/employer — either as part of a general access or private contract delivery. If you are an employer hoping to transfer a registration to a different employee, please reach out to our team with as much notice as possible at info@nrtraininggroup.com.
